OKO-ISU, Mercy Chidinma (Nee Nwokocha) is a Nigerian scholar and an academic staff (Graduate Assistant) with the Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike Ebonyi State, Nigeria. With the generous support of the Intra-Africa Academic Mobility Scheme of the European Union through Train Agribusiness and Food system Scientists for Agriculture (TAFSA) Project, she is pursuing a Master of Science Degree in Agri-Enterprise Development at Gulu University, Uganda. Mercy was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Agribusiness and Management by the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Abia State, Nigeria and also received a letter for outstanding academic performance from the University senate. She has over two year's working experience in teaching, research and community service with the Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike Ebonyi State, Nigeria. She has also worked on Federal Government of Nigeria projects and with several private educational firms before joining the University. She is passionate about using Agribusiness and food systems to solve the problems of developing economies and interested in getting knowledge about food systems and Agribusiness; project management that relates to sustainable food systems and Agribusiness; developing of agribusiness models that can be applied in food systems research for community transformation in Nigeria and Africa at large. Mercy was born in Lagos, Nigeria, and is married to Dr. Oko-Isu. Her marriage is blessed with two beautiful daughters (Nneoma and Chigozirim).
